The Unbearable Brightness of doing the right thing

When we set up Digital Dogs Content and Media, Anjali and I and a handful of brave (or stupid) people, we didn't know what will lie ahead. We still don't. Just in case you are thinking this will be one of those listicles with powerpacked content like '10 things successful people do before breakfast'

We started shop in the middle of the pandemic, with the economy having its ears twisted and almost bent out of shape. With people being sacked and retail consumption grinding to a painful, bloody halt. With everything as we knew it being redefined and recast into new, scary and unknown forms.

The most important thing we told each other was to stay alive. To stay afloat. To be able to allow our kneecaps to bear our weight. To be able to breathe. And with those little cheat sheets, we started on April 01/2020.

We started. That's the most important thing - if there is ONE thing that I am saying here that can be called a 'takeaway' thought for busy people who don't read full articles and only seek to carry away nuggets.

START. Just START. Whatever it is that you are planning. Whatever it is that you have been secretly and optimistically stashing away in the drawers of your desire closet, just bring it out and make it see sunlight. There is no perfect time for anything and there is no perfect signal for starting. In fact, mostly life will screw you some time or the other. Waiting for the right time or timing so you can bypass the screwing and get to the un-screwed sections is like eating the 3rd burger before the first two in order to avoid eating too much and yet feel full.

Today, we are into our 8th month and we have managed to add to our client roster, our team strength, checked into our new office and created content across the entire spectrum of media, interfaces and platforms that is working for our clients. Working to make their business and brand more robust, more loved and more desired.

We have developed competencies across the entire spectrum of content, design, media and CX. While there are miles to go, and believe me those are long miles indeed, we would like to take a short pause and remember how and why we started.

We did that to build lovely stuff that works. Truly lovely stuff that truly works. Because in today's world, velocity is often mistaken for progress and action is more often than not paraded as results.

Our most recent work, that we are extremely proud of and would like to see it make a real difference in the lives of people everywhere is showcased below. We don't know what tomorrow will hold. But today, we are thankful and focused. And happy. For us. For our work. For our clients.
